fabric donations
Our piles of fabric scraps and end rolls were starting to accumulate again..so it was time to get rid of it! Victoria from Naturec.org picked up a truck load of baby sling remants today. Our ‘fireworks‘ print fabric may become the tree trunks in an art project they are working on
She promised to send some pictures when they use the fabric, I can’t wait to see how it is used. Fireworks is a fabric near and dear to my heart, it was one of the most voted on prints that we included in the polls that we did last summer.
“The Nature Consortium is a grassroots, community-based organization whose mission is to teach environmental lessons through the creative arts and hands-on conservation projects. We produce a Youth Art Program, an Urban Forest Restoration Project and the Arts~in~Nature Festival.”
A local hobby seamstress also picked up a bag of scraps, I’m looking forward to hearing about what she makes with them!
Karin, a woman that works for us, used to take home almost all of our scraps, but I think she has gotten more than she can use in a life time. She turned me down last week when I asked if she wanted anymore ![]()
