I’m pregnant and I’m not sure if my new sling fits!

“I bought my baby sling while pregnant and I’m not sure if it fits”

Please don’t worry! If you bought your sling directly from us (not from a distributor), we are more than happy to WAIT until after you have given birth to exchange your sling. We are happy to extend your exchange period for as long as reasonably necessary to ensure that you get a good fit on the first exchange.

If you bought your sling from a distributor, then you would need to contact them directly to find out what their exchange policy is.

We can only process refunds for 60 days past your order date, so our return policy can’t be extended. Exchanges can be done indefinitely. The only problem you may run into is we may sell out of your first fabric choice, so you may need to select a new fabric.

If you are very pregnant and you can get the sling around you, then please hold on to it until after you have given birth. It is next to impossible to tell if a sling fits perfectly while pregnant and without a baby to try it out. Obviously, just like a piece of clothing, if the sling fits while you are pregnant, then it will be TOO BIG after you have given birth. It should be too small now. If you can’t get the sling on at all while pregnant, then it may indeed be too small.

Please use our size calculator with your non-pregnant measurements to find the average size worn by women with similar measurements. Most women fall within one size above or below the average given by the database. It can be hard to measure from shoulder to hip accurately while pregnant.

Here’s how to estimate your post pregnancy bra size: starting with your late pregnancy bra size, if you will be breastfeeding then add a cup size and subtract one band size (i.e. If you are late in pregnancy and you are a 38C, then after birth you will likely be approximately a 36D. This obviously isn’t completely accurate, and is only an estimate, but it is usually pretty close! Immediately after birth your breasts may be swollen and a cup bigger, but within a few weeks most women settle into one size.

If this is your first baby and you have gained the average amount of weight during your pregnancy(30 or 40 lbs), then you will need to add a little on to your pre-pregnancy weight, usually about 10 lbs. You will be heavier than this immediately following birth, but most women drop weight steadily for 6 or 8 weeks without trying.
