Daddies wear baby slings too, and this one has perfect technique! Look at how the baby’s bottom is deep in the sling, with knees higher than bottom, the edge of the sling is in the bend behind the baby’s knees, and the fabric is spread all the way to the baby’s shoulders.  This baby is about 9 months old and has been a Slingling since birth!

We attended the Northwest Enterprising Moms Fall Event today.  We met Nicole from Baby Legs, Beth from DrewBabyDesigns, and ran into Katie from Metrosupials.  Belly Sock was there, as were many other Seattle area Mom owned businesses!    We had fun perusing the displays and watching a little fashion show.  I stocked up on $5 Baby Legs, and we got a free pair just for attending.

We restocked khaki padded, pink/green paisley unpadded, northern lights padded.

We gave the first batch of 300 pink hibiscus unpadded slings to Carol. They will be delivered this coming Thursday, Nov 15. We will be shipping out preorders that day, yay! Padded Pink Hibiscus will be stocked a week from this Thursday, Nov 22.  I guess that is Thanksgiving, so they will actually be stocked on Friday Nov 23.

My daughter, Katie, and I LOVE our new Slinglings Baby Sling! She practically lives in it!

I wanted to offer two thoughts on helping new Slingling moms and dads get the hang of slinging. First, I would suggest encouraging new Slingling moms/dads to try utilizing the Slingling everyday for a one-week straight. For us, I promised myself that we would try it everyday for a week! Even though the first few days were a little frustrating, toward the end of the week, we finally got the hang of it and now use the Slingling everyday without a hitch. Second, I would suggest encouraging new Slingling moms/dads to use a mirror when they are learning to get the baby positioned correctly in the beginning. It made all the difference for us getting settled into the right position. I’ve attached a fun picture of Katie and me to this e-mail! Thanks again for the awesome awesome product! We love it!

Steve and I biked to the big pyramid at Coba, then we managed to climb all the way to the top! We were in a group of 12, and we were the only ones who made the effort. The other smaller pyramids at Coba didn’t even compare to this one. I can’t imagine going all the way to Coba and then not even bothering to*see* this, let alone not climb it!
